However, getting kids to eat healthy can be a real challenge, especially in light of all the advertising for sugary drinks and snacks. Kids are on the go and Spring sports are just around the corner. Here is a simple recipe for Energy Bites that are easy to make and convenient to take with you to practice and games.
1 cup of oats
¼ cup of honey
¼ tsp vanilla
¼ cup of nut butter (sunflower, cashew, peanut)
Let your kids pick an additional ingredient to make these Energy Bites their own. Here are a few suggestions:
- Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix thoroughly
- Roll into bite size balls and place on parchment paper
- Refrigerate for 30 minutes

- 4 oz unsweetened almond milk
