Nutrology is great nutrition for children and adults!

Eating healthy is just as important for children as it is adults. However, getting kids to eat healthy can be a real challenge, especially in light of all the advertising for sugary drinks and snacks. Today, parents find themselves struggling to find something that is healthy, fun, tasty and easy to make.

At Nutrology, we frequently receive questions from customers asking for ways to use our products in recipes that are appropriate for children. Below are a few of our favorite recipes, all of which have proven to be big hits with children of all ages.

Energy Bites:

Kids are on the go and Spring sports are just around the corner. Here is a simple recipe for Energy Bites that are easy to make and convenient to take with you to practice and games.

1 cup of oats

¼ cup of honey

¼ tsp vanilla

¼ cup of nut butter (sunflower, cashew, peanut)

2 Tbsp Chia

Let your kids pick an additional ingredient to make these Energy Bites their own. Here are a few suggestions:

M&M’s

Chocolate Chips

Coconut Flakes

Raisins

Dried Cranberries

Preparation:

  • Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix thoroughly
  • Roll into bite size balls and place on parchment paper
  • Refrigerate for 30 minutes
  • ENJOY!
